The following is an outline of a typical order of service, the sort of detail that you’ll need to have printed for those attending your wedding.  Although this order shows hymns it is quite possible to conduct a service without congregational hymn singing.  Please feel free to discuss your ideas with the vicar.

THE ADDRESS

THE PRAYERS

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Help us to take no more
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
