Ruth Terrell speaks of the resurrected Jesus from John 21:1-14. In this third resurrection appearance in John’s gospel we find seven of the disciples have returned home to Galilee and back to that which they are most familiar – fishing. But, the ‘new normal’ is not the old; Jesus begins by not only meeting their need for fish but acts with gracious compassion towards their physical needs.
