To generate more interest in our environment and how we may respond, both as a church family and individually, take a look at this A Rocha project. St James’ is signed up to this scheme and church members are signing up as individuals and helping to complete eco church surveys.
Swift Boxes
Did you know that, before migration in 2021, swift boxes were installed in St James’ tower bell chamber louvers (see below) and the recorded bird calls attracted swifts before their migration south. We’ll be looking out at the end of April and early May over the coming years to see how many swifts return to nest here.
