NATIVITY EXHIBITION

St James Church  is holding an exciting Nativity Exhibition between Monday December 4th and Saturday December 9th 2023.

The exhibit will be open the public:

12 and 3.00pm on Monday – Wednesday
10am – 3pm from Thursday – Saturday
(& Thursday evening: 7.30-8.30pm)

We can make special arrangements for groups to come in the evening if that is more convenient.

The exhibition consists of over 120 nativity sets from around the world. Some are large, others are extremely small and one or two are so tiny that they have been made for dolls’ houses! Each one is different, some feature teepees, others Llamas, some are made from paper or bamboo – but each tells the story of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago.

This is an event not to be missed. Please come along and enjoy! The event is open to all and is free of charge. However, if you would like to make a donation, money will go to CBM, who work with a wide range of partners to transform the lives of people with disabilities and build a more inclusive world.

Although most of the nativity sets are for viewing only we will have a children’s area where youngsters can colour pictures, nativity sets can be played with and fuzzy felt nativity scenes can be designed.

Light refreshments will be available at a small charge.

We will be delighted to see you.
