1 John 3:1-3 Peter develops what it means that we are children of God in the series in First John. Our experience of our earthly father may make a stumbling block to accept God as a father.  As people we need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about God’s nature to us.  Ungodly choices isolate us from knowing the intimacy of God as our father. We may need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the true nature of our choices so that we choose wisely.  The talk concluded with reference to Jude and the three-fold action of God in calling, loving and keeping.
